Anthony Edwards
Antony Edwards practices exclusively in intellectual property law. A registered Canadian and U.S. patent and trademark agent and intellectual property lawyer with more than 17 years experience, he has guided many clients systematically and successfully through the protection process from idea to registration, to enforcement of the appropriate protection, whether patent, trademark, copyright, industrial design or trade secret.
Prior to pursuing his legal training, he obtained a degree in Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering at the University of Washington, and thereafter served for more than four years in the Canadian Air Force, developing and testing experimental aircraft systems. Mr. Edward's science and engineering background gives him a technical and practical appreciation of the patent needs of his clients, whether it's related to mechanical or fluid applications, robotics or software products.
Mr. Edwards has provided intellectual property assistance to a diverse portfolio of clients; whether the assistance be with protecting robotics in sawmills, protecting from pirating of video signals for pay-per-view wrestling, protecting ballistic body armour, or protecting industrial designs and artwork and, for example, art galleries' rights in acquisition of artwork, to name just a few. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia, is a member of the Patent and Trademark Institute of Canada, and is a registered professional engineer (Alberta and British Columbia).
